In the 2021 Spotlight

So much has changed in the last nine months! The world has changed. Gathering, of course, has changed and the arts have had to change in response.

Ironically, the James C. and Mary B. Martin Center for the Arts opened in the middle of this challenging evolution, and as you likely know, we have yet to be able to welcome the public into the new facility we are so proud of.

Instead, the  spotlight – on the performing arts around the globe – has been on safety, perseverance, ingenuity and in some cases, survival. As we begin the new year, our focus at the Martin Center remains on academics, but we are looking forward to and hoping to host live events with live audiences – you – in fall 2021.

In the meantime, we also hope that you will stay connected with us – through our social media, our email updates (Sign up at right!) and the website – and we will continue walk through this time together virtually and digitally until we can celebrate the arts together in person.
